I used to sort of dislike this movie when I was younger, 'cause of its deviation from the Jedi/Sith plot which was what excited me the most about Star Wars at the time, but after reevaluation, I might consider this my favourite Star Wars movie after The Empire Strikes Back. It has its flaws ( like the chase with the ships which can feel sort of dull when it interrupts exciting plot points ), but it also has its significant high points, be it the scene with a certain wise old puppet, Rey's chemistry with Kylo Ren and the entire throne room sequence which manages to succeed where The Force Awakens failed and and do something original. Mark Hamill's performance is also phenomenal and might be his best in Star Wars. When it comes down to it, it's the sort of movie I just enjoy watching over and over.
