Watching Wrong Turn 7 the viewer is made to believe they're watching the classic cannibalistic, hillbilly-on-the-mountains franchise, but during the movie is when you realise you're not watching Wrong Turn 7, BUT you're actually still watching Wrong Turn 7 and what's even creepier is that there are some scenes in the movie whereby you feel like Wrong Turn is watching you. No bs plots, the film is a 2hour adrenaline rush that might have you screaming "RUN!! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!".
The scare bumps have been so carefully placed (like boobie traps in the wild forest) so as to make the movie feel like one big mind game. The moment you think something is going to happen, something unexpected happens like the director intentionally plotted to trap the viewer and make them feel as if they're in the movie themselves and participating in the decision-making of the whole story. This is intentional because the whole movie is made to make us think about the choices we make in our everyday lives that affect our truth/reality or our version of both.
Choices, decisions, consequences, destiny, and fate are the main themes in which the actors play on throughout the film. I really wish I watched the movie on VR but the truth is there are some scenes that would've had me kick over the coffee table. The producers of this flick have successfully managed to cut out all the gory and horrible bits without harming the movie's potential to deliver shocking value. And the plot twist at the end is WOW. This is psychological-horror filmmaking at its best, therefore I'm going to score it 5/5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!
