While I love the overall concept of this game I’m not overly impressed by it! There simply are to many bugs in the game to actually be able to enjoy it. People’s buildings and items they create litter the game environment. Things that are marked for demolition remain in the game long after the individual abandoned the items/ building. In my area stairs and water pipes do not demolish. The dodo bird and phiomia nest don’t snap to the ground or function at all. Predator spawning / their ability is set ridiculously high. There’s no clear division between noob areas and dangerous/ extremely dangerous areas. Also since the game is all block themed when people mine it leaves giant holes in the landscape. I and my trained pets have got stuck in so many holes / abandoned buildings. Literally half my game time is spent fighting against these problems. As someone with ptsd I find it particularly triggering that even on pioneer servers the level of challenge and attack is set to extremely high. Personally if they’re actually attempting to fix this I’d like to see game options available easy, medium, difficult and so on. Also some of the predator spawning/glitches seem more like GM messing with people then actual glitches. If that’s the case they need a life other then harassing people just wanting to casually play. I’ve had to start over so many times that it’s honestly ridiculous. Some of us actually have lives outside of game play. From where I’m sitting pixark and ark seem to pride themselves on not being an inclusive game. Not everyone has 10 hours a day to play a game where everything you did can be destroyed immediately. I’m not purposely attacking higher level creatures. They just exist inside the noob area and low level difficulty zones. Also the controls are seriously clunky on the switch. They’re so difficult to get used to that it impacts game play and especially when being attacked. I’d love to be able to continue to play this game because I love the creativity it allows. To be honest I’d build / create during my time available if not being forced to redo things over and over. Until they fix these things I’m not sure I can play because it’s definitely activated me being triggered and depressed. For me games aren’t fun if they’re overly challenging in a demeaning manner. Also I want to play on my own and not with a guild. Finally, don’t get your hopes up because bet yea they don’t ever do anything to fix these serious game play problems.
