The story itself is very compelling….the movie,or rather the screenplay, did not do the story justice. It was garbled, and slow at times and then rushed at the end….but did not show how any of the complicated relationships within the Gucci family came about. It did not show how or who created the signature designs. It was a crusty old man (Irons) with his charismatic brother (Pacino) but we have no idea how the brand came to be. Lady Gaga was amazing, she should win an award. But the movie was 2.5 hours of close-ups of her and then just ended with absolutely NO idea of how she got caught or what brought the 4 of them to justice. It was like, okay he was shot and they went to court and then to prison, movie over. I think the film makers wastes a huge opportunity to really tell a cool story with an amazing cast…but they blew it.
