GREAT SERIES Too bad the suits are always idiots and cancelling so many many GREAT projects without proper closures. For example: the absolutely ridiculous last episode of Star Trek Enterprise, The 4400, Firefly/Serenity, Stargate Universe, Enemy Within, Timeless, the Runaways, Shark, etc, etc, etc

What happened to just plain ol' entertainment value? I was thoroughly entertained and fully engaged throughout the movie. Skyscraper contained all the elements if a good movie --- suspense, drama, action, good vs evil, love triumphs all adversity, danger, hi-tech, impossible odds, gorgeous sets, beautiful scenery, and as for Dwayne Johnson --- well his acting was superb; to act convincingly enough he was missing a leg and doing all the action scenes and climbing as though he really was maneuvering with a prosthetic leg. A GREAT movie.

I found The Predator entertaining. I actually am eager to see the obviously planned sequel. I was hoping we'd see the return of Adrian Brody from the Predators' hunting ground planet before Brody gets too old. But this installment has an evolving plot I'm curious of where the writers are taking us. I'm a true sci-fi and long for sci-fi entertainment; whether its classic, corny, inventive, or complex. Critics only serve to kill the franchise and thereby deprive a geek like me of the next sequel. It was criticism the spooked investors that kill great franchises like Firefly or Battleship.
