amazing performances from the actors and the well crafted, subtle, almost depressing atmosphere left me battling whether to feel bad or feel that justice has been served to the protagonist. the last 20 minutes left me almost craving of an alternate version of events that started in the beginning of the movie. a lot of what ifs, a lot of should've beens. in the end a stellar movie that is more of a tragic drama than a horror/suspense and should be properly categorized as such. or at least in my opinion.
SPOILER ALERT
ps. IT'S ALMOST MADDENING THAT HE ENDED UP SELLING THE FARM AND MOVING TO OMAHA IN THE END. LITERALLY THE EXACT THING HE MURDERED HIS WIFE OVER AND STARTED THE ENTIRE MESS. LITERALLY THE DECISION THAT SHOULD'VE BEEN MADE IN THE BEGINNING. I was hoping sooo bad that they'd give us a glimpse of what could've been, but knowing it was based on a stephen king novel... i knew i was hoping for too much.
