Instead of riding the coattails of breaking bad, it actually distinguishes itself as a viable and very interesting spinoff. I always wondered how Saul became a greasy ambulance chaser, and the story of him walking that path is genuinely interesting.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who liked Breaking Bad.
