I liked the book until the last chapter when grandma got political with her erroneous opinions. The author didn’t do her homework on the few last pages of the book. She should have left out her unsolicited remarks and it would have been a great book.

I liked the book until the last chapter when grandma got political with her erroneous opinions. The author didn’t do her homework on the few last pages of the book. She should have left out her unsolicited remarks and it would have been a great book.

At first glance it was confusing. You see this white petrified young girl hovering through the book. As I continued reading it became more and more disturbing. It is full of distorted history, untruths and frankly, racism against whites. This book is designed to make kids feel guilty and bad about themselves, it’s like a poison. In schools they have always taught about tolerance and respect for all people. Now you have the complete Balkanization of races. This book is more about pitting races against each other when young children should be going to school to learn reading, writing and arithmetic and social skills!

It had many parallels to what’s going on in this country currently.
