What is triggering to me is that this documentary primarily focused on Mexican border crossing and Latino illegal immigration without mentioning that EVERYONE from all countries is considered illegal if documentation is not obtained or up to date. That includes Italian, French, and anyone else from another country. Furthermore the bias activities focused on one specific group of people by the government is troubling and deeply disturbing. It perpetuates a long time standing stigma that the so called “criminals” are from Latino descent. Besides this I found solace in knowing that this documentary was one sided just as the media and the government has been and was just another reminder as to why we all need to strive to make changes to truly “make America great”.
