It is inappropriate to call this a video game. Cafe Enchante is a visual narrative with minimal choice making (you can go 30-40 minutes at a time without the option of even getting a single dialogue choice, allowing for a bare-minimum interactive experience) with a cookie-cutter anime overtone that reads like an old-fashioned Quizilla fanfic. Since there are not a lot of actual game play elements, the story writing is the primary vehicle that pulls Cafe Enchante along, though unfortunately the writing is bland and uninspiring. While I found the characters superficially interesting and the overall visuals appealing, everything else about the "game" is a paltry disappointment. Not worth the price and would serve better as a cellphone download than something on a platform like the Nintendo Switch.
