This is what I have to say about the English version of Trese... Storyline is mediocre to Filipino fans but unique to international audiences... Not much going on with the story but straight to the point... Graphic animation is excellent... Landmarks in the show truly exist in reality... Gory and Explicit which is pretty appealing to adult audiences... Obviously the show is not for kids... I like the way they dubbed voices to English with Filipino accent... The downfall is Trese exploits the real identity of Filipino specifically for those who never known how to live differently away from a 3rd world country... We seen police corruptions,,, battery,,, unwanted pregnancy the leads to illegal abortion,,, sexism,,, sexual abuse,,, verbal abuse and more... Writers didn't made up this ideas...These are based on reality of how most Filipino dealt with their daily lives in the Philippines... Writers seems to be proud of what they'd shown to international viewers... It's a shame we have these in my country but it is what it is... Philippines is a 3rd world country for a reason... Overall I'm gonna give this show a thumbs up... I would like to see how they will improve the second season...
