I really loved this book, I am a fan of ambler's work and this is the fourth novel that i have read by him. the first person narration tied in with the subtle use of italian helps you delve into the daily life and challenges of protagonist nick marlow. The characters are beautifully drawn with non conventional friendships, a great read!
