Well, this was something done a hundred times before. Never read or grew up on thr Stine books, but i watched the Fear Street triology each week, and really enjoyed them. They did the old, new or honored the style of horror. The kills and gore wasnt over the top, the story and the main characters, i rooted for them all. This,was anything but. The fact the 'yes girl' melissa was the only one that actually had a story arc in the film, is a side character that i was more interested in,speaks volumes of the main protagonist and antagonists. This is just the same as any other slasher or prom night horror thats come before it. Everything is generic,kinda hammy or just boring. The comedy attempts......just why. I dont know if it was because the original story it was based on fit back whenever, for that day and age, or that the updated script was just so dull, its a failure for me. Only got 2 stars as it had a couple kills that were alright, and it had some red herrings of who was the killer or killers.

Its a bizarre movie for sure. Wasnt a fan of the jittery cut quick edits at times, and some obvious cgi edits that came and went, inbetween drone shots. Think of it as an experimentally shot movie/overlong computer game cutscene.

Watched a review of this on YouTube by gi gio, and this series seems unbelievably laughable. Main character that's loved by everyone, no internal dilemmas or character development, has a power for every situation thrown at her and immediately wins, utter pointless investigation skills that lead to.exactly what she was looking for, and cancelled after 1 season. Quite a poor first half of the film, the second half a lot better. Feels like some scenes were cut, reeditted or chamged and not for the better. They need to dial back the humour some were well placed, but there was way to much random moments that fell flat. Zeus is a joke, and no one laughed. Christian bale wae amazing in almost every scene. Again some felt cut back and editted poorly. The kids were meh. The end sequencr was very well done, and the entity was spot on. Sif was underused. Thor was to jokey. Needed more gods to battle Gor and truly show him to the universe. Guardians standing around. Ok, pointless. Felt like a half and half movie.

Just found this and watched it. Has some stars in it, acting talent and some who would be more famous later on. I think if these actors were not in this film. It would have been way worse. Feels like one of those TV movies you randomly catch that has 1 sort of well known star in it. I think the script had a lot more work out into it by the stars as the scenes and camera shots felt so low budget and typical of those tv movies, but helped created something actually entertaining. Not oscar worthy movie, but did surprise me a little. So not bad really.

9 months pass and his facial and head hair never grew. Goes against a big army dude, and apparently no marks on him from the fight, but broke the other guys skull and possibly blinded him? The army colonel should of had him teach close quarter combat. So much forced angst and conflict for dramatic effect from first 25 minutes alone. Turned off at 35 minutes as bored and predictability

Turned it off. I got halfway, waiting to laugh or feel anything about this movie at all. Meant to be a satire, but it so strongly shoves it at you, and shows everyone except to a degree, the 2 lead scientists, as utter idiots. If it's meant to be funny, I failed to laugh. Yes it satires a presidency but it's all dull downhi boredom and cringe worthy moments in every scene. The opening title sequence made me laugh after jen Lawrence barfed. After that just yawn yawn yawn and I finally ended it. Not worth anyone's time

This film is better than it should be. Even though it feels scream ish, maybe a bit of 'the last action hero' to. Yet it managed to make me laugh out loud, was the right kind of silly, yet wholesome to. Some really good acting moments and meta as hell, I was shaking my head saying aloud 'this should not be this good'

Sat down to watch this with my daughter, is a very cute movie but also watchable. I was expecting it to be far worse and genuinely surprised how good it was. We've seen sofia Carson in descendants before, and definitely does the job in the lead role. And the acting overall is actually very good, the child actors as well, the dancing was quirky and fun. The story has lots of subtext and hidden messages, or some out in the open, throughout the film. Definitely a simple fun family film, younger kids will love it, you parents will be able to bare it. Not bad at all.
