Fabulous. Takes a while, but totally worth it. Teyana Taylor is amazing, and the rest of the cast also great; this is usually a byproduct of a great director IMO. It manages to capture huge NYC (my town FWIW) changes with a few simple sound bites and shots. The business with the new landlord towards the end is perfect, brief, and hit me hard. Just goes to show ya that you don't need to spend a gazillion bucks to make a great film.

I liked it. Wonderful acting as expected from the cast. I was never sure what would happen next - a rarity for me. My only gripe was the obtrusive, heavy handed score that kept telegraphing the action and telling me how I was supposed to feel.

IMO it's not great acting, but a great impersonation. There's a difference. We don't get much about Lenny, really. I know folks who played under him in the NY Phil, and they all loved him. Why? The movie doesn't really let us know.

Meh. Like most sci-fi the initial premise is great, but the follow up, not so much. Watched on Netflix with my speech pathologist wife, and she kept yelling at the screen about inaccuracies in the language science portrayed which kinda undermines the whole Amy Adams character.

Just a great movie. Brilliant direction, great acting, you're never sure what's next, and a wonderful score too. One of the best films in recent years

I read and liked the book and this is a decent adaptation with good acting. I don't understand the horrible reviews from critics I usually at least somewhat with.

This is a friggin masterpiece. It puts you in a strange, believable world; you never know what's gonna happen next; it's gorgeous to look at; the sound track is wonderful. What more do you want?
