Boring. We can all admit that our expectations for Disney live-action remakes are pretty low. But this movie puts the bar six feet underground. They added nothing new that adds to the story and took away everything that made the original Mulan iconic. The camera shots and editing was horrid and the acting jobs on the leads was overdramatized. By giving Mulan “chi” they took away her personality. Making her some Mary Sue and making her stick out in such a lazy way. Not allowing her to work for her skill, makes her nothing but pretentious. I refuse to acknowledge that this has any relation to the original Mulan because it does not deserve to be anywhere near it. Don’t waste your time or money because you will be disappointed.
