Little Women 2019 is, I think, what a remake of 2019 should be. It is beautifully played by the cast and moves the story into a version which fits comfortably with today's sensibilities, largely, I think by the dialogue.

Horrific, engaging, it has all been said already. The acting is superb (that bit in the white water) and the necessary emotional scenes well judged. My film of 2019.
