LIVIA ROTHMAN

This is a Holocaust memoir written by a child of two Holocaust survivors. The author describes the strength and spirit of her mother who not only survived, but managed to engage in an activity, against the rules, which underscored a commonality among the prisoners and disobeyed German rules. There is also an emphasis on how her parents rebuilt their lives, and through that, defeated Hitler and his cronies.
