The character of Lionel is so sad and loneful that it makes sense as to why the movies more about him than anything else. Gugu mbatha raw is alongside edward nortan and is amazing, not to mention stella performances from alec baldwin, willem dafoe and the oscar worthy performance from Edward Nortan himself. Backed by the soundtrack that can bring tears to the eyes by thom yorke Is 2 hours and 25 minuites of perfection and is definitely a film that desevres to be mentioned in the same breathe as L.a confidential and the J.J gittes films. Watch this to see what may sadly be the last great noire film. And is the best noire film in 20 years.

Just watched this film and when I finished there was saliva all over my carpet. This is a Jaw dropping experience
