Saw the movie against the advice of my mum & girlfriend the very same day i lost a friend of mine Major Shashi Nair of 1/2 Gorkha Rifles to an IED blast along the LOC. So it was highly emotional going through the events portrayed in the movie knowing fully that i'd have to hold myself together at his funeral the very next day. God rest his soul. But that apart, i'd like to say that the movie holds nothing back in evoking an absolute sense of pride and honour for our men & women in uniform who put their lives on the line every single day to make sure people like us wake up every morning to see and be with our loved ones. and NOTHING comes above that selfless sacrifice for me personally. Brilliant direction, adrenaline pumping background scores, coupled with some quality acting and realistic movie making. Probably the ONLY war movie after Lakshya worth watching. For most of us who've seen movies like Zero Dark Thirty, 13 Hours, American Sniper and the likes, directed by legendary directors and consisting a stellar star cast, this movie may come as no surprise. But for Indian movie making standards with respect to action sequences and authenticity, i'd give it an 8/10. Defintely a must watch.
