I became a BCR FAN way back in June 1977... It all started 1 day when I was listening to the radio and this song came on called ROXY ROLLER by Sweeny Todd (with Nick Gilder singing lead vocals)... Well, I immediately went to the local record store to look for this 1 song that I had heard earlier... So, here I was looking through the album racks and I flipped 1 record over and there is was... THE BAY CITY ROLLERS GREATEST HIT LP... ...And... Just 1 look at Eric Faulkner's handsome face and baby blue eyes and I was in love... So, since I was just so taken with Eric Faulkner on the front cover, I immediately bought TBCRGH LP and then, I went home and I started listening to it from 1st song on Side 1 which was I ONLY WANT TO BE WITH YOU right straight to the last song on Side 2 which was SATURDAY NIGHT... Well, this is the start of me becoming A BCR FAN... Then, I started buying all of their lps, 1 by 1 and very soon, I had all of their lps in my record collection... MY most fave BCR LP is none other than... IT'S A GAME... I just love all of the songs on this LP, especially Eric's lead guitar introduction on ITS A GAME song... Like WOW!! The musicianship and songwriting and singing and all of the songs on this 1 LP is just very talented and out of this world... What makes this 1 LP even more special is that each and every single song is written BY THE BAY CITY ROLLERS with the exception of REBEL REBEL (the very last song on side 2) which was written by David Bowie, but Eric sang lead on this song... If you want a great LP in your record collection... Just buy this LP wherever and whenever you can and you will NEVER EVER even regret this, as this will be 1 of the great musical investments in your entire life!!
