The premise is not the most original but as far as entertainment goes, it is fine. But I think the write is either naive or simply ignorant because some of the plots just don't make sense. For example: so the sociopath bitch killed a couple of guys and chopped their dicks off for fun. Found guilty but got her sentence commuted. Why? She is not having inordinate amount of problems to deal with already? She wants a full-blown uprising, too? Whatever this psycho bitch knows, once she is gone, the secrets die with her. If there is any damage it has already been done at the trial, keeping her alive not only changes nothing, she still can and will talk. Hope it gets better soon...

Not great but watchable. But this everyone is homosexual, gay or lesbian, thing has to stop. Nearly EVERY TV show has at least one lesbian relationship (this Orphan Homo has 3 that I see so far). It is not about homosexual relationships in any story but the proportion - in this series, there is only one heterosexual relationship, Lucy and Jack, but then Luck was once a lesbian, too, just as her alpha version. Christ....and lesbians have kids, too ( also recently in another TV series, Vigil).

The Desperate Hour

Not a bad TV series with likeable characters and the storyline of each episode is tight and fast-paced. One criticism is sometimes the plot may be a little farfetched, bordering on a little too perfect and OTT. But hey, this is TV entertainment, so it is ok. Another thing I don't like is the fundamental B.S. about 'preserving life', which is said in nearly every episode, to the point that Beaumont is equally concerned about the lives of all the bad guys/kidnappers. He even feels about INDIRECTLY taking a life. Oh, please. If you have seen what happens at the end of Season 2 and the 1st Ep or Season 3, you will know what I mean. Still worthy of the 4 stars.
