Kushner is presently my favorite contemporary novelist so when her latest novel, Creation Lake became available I grabbed it up, took it home and proceeded to read. I was disappointed, annoyed and bored the first third of the novel but kept plodding on, then finally it opened up to reveal the usual Kushner scrutiny of contemporary politics and its sociological makeup.
I my have loved her previous novels more but this one has found a place on the love list.
