I'm currently reading No One Can Know and, while it has its strengths, I find the pacing a bit slow at times. It often feels like the narrative dances around the central subject, stretching the story out more than necessary. That said, there’s a compelling backstory woven throughout, with seamless transitions between past and present. The character development is strong, and the plot is engaging. It’s also an easy, accessible read. I just can’t help but feel that the book could have been just as effective—if not more so—with a tighter, more concise structure.

I read the book 'The Idea of You' prior to watching the movie and was left very disappointed. Most of the book, with the exception of the storyline was changed for the film. It bothered me that they changed the daughter from 14 to 17, had her acting like a wannabe influencer with her friends and when she finally finds out about her moms relationship she's kind of cool with it. In the book she was not happy and it took a major toll on her, that is why Solène finally puts her daughter first. UGH!! So much was wrong. From the meet cute, to the end of the movie, it was very frustrating! If I had only watched the movie, I would have said it was OK, but still needed a lot of work to be a good movie.
