The cliches filling this flaccid piece of celluloid are all tried, and more like tired, than true. Was really hoping it would be more than the 'seasoned but weary genius policeman takes young scout and schools him' kinda flick but here we are Even Denzel's performance is tired and uninspired. Rami Malek checked a buddy detective movie 101 and copy and pasted his performance. The villain was enigmatic enough but not enough of him. All in all, The Little Things is a sleep inducing 2 hours where you leave the film having already forgotten the most of it.
