Pretty disappointing. The selfish protagonist is elevated as a hero. I’m not sure what the message is though it seems like there was one intended. I’m all about the dude who goes against society to pursue “life” but this “genius poet” is actually an irresponsible father and a reckless soul having fun at everyone’s expense. The cross dressing thing made no sense. The whole movie didn’t make a lot of sense, I watched to the end hoping it would all come together. Hate to be a “hater” because I couldn’t make a movir any better — but not entertaining, funny, or inspirational, and the art seemed forced.
