Wonderful adaptation from the TFIOS novel... But the magic is ,it's just not the usual copy and paste... The entire character sketch of Manny us quite differently written and executed... There's a huge difference between Augustus and Manny, who is a restless , full of life and vibrant guy who can infuse positivity even in untoward situation.. Although it is a well known arguement that it's because of his untimely demise that this movie is getting an enormous emotional hype... But as far as I saw ... Genuinely Sushant had done justice to this character and has stolen the screen space altogether, just like he always did with his tremendous acting skills and most of all his honesty and normalcy.... The story telling was great but it had missed certain important moments.... Although there were many dialogues and even the attempt to draw similarities between Augustus and manny's actions and characteristics ...but needless to say one would love to See SSR bring life to the character,in his own good ways... I feel the time of even less than 2 hours which was given to the very potent actors like swastika Mukherjee, Saswata Chatterjee and absolutely no detailed connection with Manny's family life with the sudden rushes to the story line... Had been a little unjust... Stretching it a bit might have given the audience, the needed time space to grasp and internalize the intensity of certain marvellous scenes pulled off by the deserving people who performed in this film...
The last portion Can grip us all in and drown us in a pool of emotions... Very hard to distinguish from real to reel..
I loved the setting, the simplicity and extremely genuine performances of all the stars in this...
And for Sushant Singh Rajput , for me, he never fails to etch a mark in my heart and mind.... Cheers to the team... 💓
And I hope he is watching us miss him badly from above the skies...
Shine on star...
