I miss the days when gaming brought people next to each other working together or competing and the memories that it brought. This game advertised that very family aspect but it does so in such a way that I would consider it almost false advertising. Sure you can play 2 player. No, that second player won’t have any autonomy to actually do anything fun. Sure you can buy 2 copies of the game if you want. But if you only have 1 switch then you can only have 1 island.
I bought the switch specifically for 2 player games. I was looking forward to New Horizons being that one decent 2 player coming out this year. Come to find out Nintendo is no different than other consoles. Slowly forcing people into buying 2 consoles and 2 copies of the game to play together.
There are words I want to say that would flag this review as inappropriate so I’ll just leave it at this. I’m selling my switch and never coming back. Good riddance.
