In my opinion, this book has no real plot. The story goes on and on, and you have to wait 7 chapters before actually getting to the part where Jonas receives his assignment, and up until then it was just giving information about his community. I do think this book was a great idea, but it was not well executed. If you liked this book, I'm not going to stop you, but in my personal experience, I would not recommend this book.
