I always want to see more movies like this other than those which produced by Hollywood. The reason is obvious; to see from multiple POVs and to help viewers enhance their judgment of our cruel past.
The scene where a Whermacht general said that he had been fighting in Verdun "even before you reach puberty" is so meaningful. Whermacht was not SS, although it is not a valid argument to be overly sympathized after what they have done, we know that "clean whermacht" could be historically true.
A good WW2 movie is not about battle scenes, expensive animations, fancy Hollywood actors. Those times have long gone. A good depiction of WW2 in our times is the ones that can provoke our critical assessment and develop historical skills for more serious viewers.
