The music was wonderful as it was in the original 1961 movie. The dancing and costumes were magnificent It did not bother me that the scenes and songs sang were in a different setting than originally. However the set of New York under construction at Lincoln Center was not natural looking. The choice for the actress playing Anita also did not portray a Puerto Rican immigrant. Why is Rita Moreno singing somewhere? That was a beautiful song for a couple acting out a marriage ceremony in a dress shop. I think that was my biggest disappointment of the movie. Overall I would give the movie seven out of 10.
