Rian Johnson needs to realise he isnt as great as he thinks he is. His constant need to subvert expectations throughout this movie is terribly executed, because every time he attempts to do it, it makes no sense from a character or narrative perspective. The plot of this movie is painfully mediocre and ends up being very boring. the Canto Byte sequence with Finn and Rose is awful. Completely pointless and adds nothing of worth to the story while simultaneously ruining Finns character and the overall pacing of the movie. The choice to kill snoke was a bad one for obvious reasons. The movie kind of starts to pick up when they get to the salt planet and it starts to get quite interesting for a shot time until Rose stops Finn from sacrificing himself because lOvE. I thought the Luke vs Kylo fight was interesting and the idea of a force projection was ok. I just really didn't like a lot of the decisions made in this film, i thought the plot was bad, i thought the characters were almost all terribly written with the exception of maybe Kylo, the fights were poorly choreographed, and the pacing was inconsistent, the main thing i liked about this film was the cinematography.
