The architecture, cinematography, aesthetic, actors, their chemistry is utterly beautiful. The mixture of ancient and modern times is so greatly done as per it's narrative on the book that hits close to home. Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode's combination is a different allure- unique but very good.

I like the atmosphere, the cinematography, the actors, and plot. Some scenes are like a feverish dream, uncomfortable yet not. Warm yet unfamiliar. It's slow but not dragging. And it's not like all of it are irrelevant slow pieces or parts, just set of emphasis. And by the way Katherine Waterston's overall look with her long wavy hair and dark blue dress was exquisite look like the mother Mary and quick to turn into a murderous (crazy) young? mother.
