Most of this movie was ok, but the ending was horrible. Godmothered reminded me of Enchanted, but they are completely different stories. I hated the ending for very different reasons than what most other reviewers have said. I strongly disagree with the idea that there is an LGBTQ agenda, if there were that would have been much better than the avoidance of a love story. There seems to be a trend of no love story in all newer Disney movies. When the main character seemed to have a romantic interest it seemed as if Disney purposely avoided allowing that to be the story. Romantic love may not be the only thing in life, but it is part of life. While older Disney movies may have gave the idea that romantic love was the only path for girls, Godmothered gives the impression that allowing oneself to experience romantic love is something we can turn off. There are plenty of stories where a love story is not needed, but the storyline was more of an anti-love story than a tale in which a love story is not featured. Every story doesn’t need to be centered around a love story but I hope Disney does not continue this path where every story seems to tell us that romantic love is something to be avoided.
