Ruins the franchise. The flashbacks are cringe and I’d rather not know what happened in the past given that it’s explained in the first movie. Then, in the present, Sofie has renovated the guesthouse but it looks so fake which is a shame as in the first movie the hotel was so rustic and pretty. The songs are not as good, as well as the actors. The ending with Cher makes little sense. Overall a real let down, a film which should never have been made, now the legacy of mamma Mia has been destroyed forever.
