This movie could have been better than Baasha if the 2nd half was handled by SS Rajamouli. Karthik Subbaraj could have made Jigarthanda more epic if he'd treated the second half differently. Same with Petta. He should have avoided the Uttar Pradesh plot totally because that was like a hole or discontinuity in the screenplay. Unneccessary and irritating gun fights. In the second half, he should focused more on the awesome actors he had at his disposal, especially villains VJS and NS. We love Baasha and Padayappa Rajni because of Mark Anthony and Neelambari. Uttar Pradesh scenes and the irritating gun fights should have been avoided and kept the movie to travel longer in Madurai and Telegu movie build up. Nevertheless, the movie is really worth for the entire first half Rajinism, interval block, Madurai scenes and climax. Karthik Subbaraj missed the golden opportunity and with this he is not the 'Messiah' we've been waiting for to continue the legacy of KB, MR and Shankar.
