Not a good film. Fairly funny in parts. But overall one to miss. Boring and downright silly.

I think it's a marvellous film. Sheila Hancock is beyond fantastic. I am 70 and have never felt so inspired as I did by Sheila in this film. She has always been a brilliant actress and gets better and better. Age is a number and you should never forget that. The scenery is also wonderful it ls an all round superb film . I wish I could describe the words as to how it made me feel. Poetical. Well done to Ms Hancock. You still got it girl.

What a truly awful film. So depressing with Oscar Isaacs dreadful character as a card counter. I got so bored with facts and figures of playing cards I lost the will to live. Watched about 40mins until I gave up and turned it off. So slow in every way .

Didn't understand it. At all. Won't win any awards. Unless for rubbish

Good but went on for far too long. Got bored and skipped a load just to see the end.

Saint Al pacino absolutely dreadful acting. I thought he was playing a Saint not a detective. Never ever seen such rubbish in my life. It's like he was paid big bucks for going through the motions. He even looked totally disinterested in this film. If I was a director I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole Give up pacino. I think you have got to big for your big boots. Everyone was over acting . The only person who was any good was Kevin urban. He would have been better without pacino. He easily was better actor.

Forced all the way trying to be funny. Just didn't do it. Was a boring film not worth watching.

I feel mixed about this film. I watched it mainly because of Christian bale and his usual brilliance we come to expect from an actor of his calibre. But it was very dull and dark with some obvious miscasting. Timothy spall was dreadful in his role . I lost interest in it but kept going as I do like period films hoping it might get better. It did but only last half hour. It was saved only through A list cast. I think it would have failed miserably had it been unrecognisable actors in lead roles. Saved by the Bale.
