The most important thing that touched my heart was nearing the end was when Jackie dives deep into what Jesus’ death looked like. A specific line being “I’ve always wondered if when they became a disciple, or thought themselves to be one, if they knew that following Jesus not only meant eternal life but also a crucified one”. The Christian walk is not an easy one, if it was then we’d see way more christians. I think this book is worth the read whatever your orientation. Beyond sexual orientation this book highlights the part of Christianity that a lot of believers don’t want to submit to, and that is the reality that you can’t serve both God and flesh. It is impossible.
