Took my three year old daughter to see this and I loved it too! She was in love and had to listen to the soundtrack on the way home. There’s a lot more cultural elements and exploration in this movie and it’s a great tool for the targeted audience as it’s showcasing the importance of storytelling, language, and communication. People forget the target audience is kids and not adults. Although it hit me right in the feels as my husband frequently has to leave due to his job and the line in the song says if I leave will she grow to understand pretty much gutted me in the feels. Overall hands down great movie for adults good for kids and a great learning opportunity as a child led activity to explore different geographical areas and regions, different cultures, and is a great way to introduce information on indigenous peoples and cultures.
