This book provided the missing link in my Medical Laboratory training and filled in all the "but why" blanks in my education.
My training was centered on testing and diagnosing medical conditions, anatomy and physiology.
I realized how incomplete my training was when I started to read this amazing book.
Who knew that nutrition, particularly fatty acid metabolism is not just essential to a clear understanding of Anatomy and Physiology, but in the forefront of the practical application of food as medicine and in the maintenance of healthful living and and a healing lifestyle.
I read this book as a self referenced work to get the most understanding from it. When a paragraph in a given chapter referenced another chapter, I left a marker and turned to the reference chapter, which itself may have had references. I noted all references and read in a manner which brought me the most enlightenment, returning to my initial placeholder when I had gained a more complete understanding.
If the reader can have the discipline to approach this fine work in this manner the rewards are a clarity of the importance of nutrition that is unavailable anywhere else.
I recommend this book highly to all my friends who are interested in nutrition, especially those in the medical field.
I am of the opinion that medical community deals in sickcare and this book and Udo Erasmus deal in HEALTHCARE!
