Shikara ends illogically with Shiv returning to Kashmir valley with the mission of teaching the students there. Arey... Waah! If that was a possibility, he could've done it much earlier and need not had to flee Kashmir at all in the first place to seek asylum in another part of the country which don't have a Muslim majority. If I am given the option to direct its second part, I would complete it in 5 minutes with Islamic extremists singling out a professor Pandit doing teachings in the vallley which do not allign with their ideology; and what next!? Silence him for ever!!

The movie is a touching one. It discusses the exodus/genocide of non-Muslim Kashmiris in the valley and depicts the brutality closer to reality. The administration failure to contain the attack on the community could also be well observed. One could relate to the pain underwent by the community which still remains unresolved. A great movie which directly addresses the point and also showcases the ignorance of other Indians on this gruelsome incidents taken place. The moviemakers deserve all appreciations.

The only thing which I find positive about this movie is that it strongly criticizes the ongoing unethical and ludicrous activity of evangelists in Tamil Nadu. Their wonder stories of fake healings are well exposed in this movie. No moviemaker in TN ever had the guts to depict these realities so far.
