Never read the book so went into the series with an open mind. The pacing is a bit slow but after awhile I came to appreciate the gothic, moody atmosphere and the pace that draws you in. There are a few scenes they seem to have just thrown in as an afterthought like the library scene with Maggie that had nothing to do with anything, and Vic's dysfunctional family scenes were really overdone. The acting is impressive and I was often on the edge of my seat which balanced the slower scenes . For me this show is entertaining and the mystery done well enough that I want to know what's next, so looking forward to season 2.

The Musketeers is one of the best action/adventure series i've seen. Outstanding acting, each episode filled action and suspense,gorgeous scenery, beautiful costumes. I was sorry to see it end. I wish there were ten more seasons.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie-heartwarming.
