Probably one of the most powerful movies I've seen in a long time. The movie traces Andy Whitfield's journey through different stages of cancer. Now the protagonist may be a big star for some viewers, but I had never seen Spartacus, so it was like the journey of a moderately well known movie-star.
Anyway, the movie talks about things we really need to appreciate in our lives (instead of money, wealth, respect, success etc.). Truly thought provoking. Special treat for Indians as he travels to India for treatment as well! I'll end with my favourite quote from the movie and which, according to me, sums up the "message" the movie seeks to give-
"I know that, you know, with fear and anger, which is probably the same thing, really, they're all outward. It's all depleting, you know. When you invest in it, it's all, it's kind of not helpful.
And the opposite of that is love, compassion, and forgiveness And if you can convert into that, that's an inward thing. That's a... that's a healing thing. And I guess it's part of my evolution to get through this. Because I think that brings together the whole psychological, emotional, spiritual side of a person You know you shouldn't wait to get cancer before you start to think that way."
