I had never heard of any of the actors before except for Rita Moreno. I watched them bond before my eyes. I held my breath and felt my heart pounding. It was extraordinary to see the story develop as if for the first time. I was so glad to see the captivating and athletic dancing of Jerome Robbins choreography kept. The singing voices were superb: technically perfect and emotionally riveting at the same time. The direction was mesmerizing. A great movie in all respects.

If you know this country, it will all make sense. If you don’t, get ready to learn. I felt the tension of survival. Extremely well-paced.
