I went to see this film after first seeing the advert which depicted it as a Horror by showing the audience reactions to specific scenes. Although the film itself didnt seen nearly as scary as it was made out to be it did have its fair share of gore and jump scares to fill any horror or action film lovers boots. The acting was good and in places scenes were difficult to watch (intentionally) which made for a much more immersive experience. Fight scenes were well played out and the use of make up and VFX was very good in many scenes. The fast paced and action packed final quarter was also something to behold and contianed great visuals, camera angles and acting sequences even with a few cliche moments thrown in. Overall it was a film i enjoyed watching... the first time, I wouldn't rush back to see it again but its definitely a film to see with a group to discuss thoughts in the end as there are plenty of scenes which have moments you can look back to.
Rating: 8.2/10 - Not quite Saving Private Ryan meets Nazi Zombies but something close.
