I can't believe other people didn't say that of all the possible opening stories, the tired old kill off the wife storyline was so unimaginative and an insult to the Law and Order franchise. There was no reason to do this. I'm sick of TV having so few main characters with spouses. I once read that married couples were not "interesting" , that audiences didn't want to see them in storylines and that actors weren't interested in playing the small recurring role of a rarely seen spouse. I guess I don't count as an audience of importance, since it was important to me that Kathy and Elliot continued to be married in this new show. As a result I didn't even watch the new show after the SVU opening. I wasn't interested enough to find out the rest of the story.One thing I always greatly appreciated about the show Criminal Minds was the relationship of JJ and her husband Will, a side storyline running through the show. I don't see why this new law and Order show couldn't have been like that. I have no interest in watching the new show because of this completely unimaginative opening. It's not what I expect from a Dick Wolf show. What a disappointment!!!!!!

This show is TERRIBLE. It's such a mish mash of Star Wars ideas and characters, desecrated all I believed and loved about the original IV-VI trilogy, and features a main character who is wooden and a poor actor. I know I am in a minority here, but I wonder if that is true among we original fans of my age group. PS Putting myself apparently again in the minority, I loved the latest Star Wars Trilogy and thought the second one was the best. Rian Phillips was right on the mark and J J Abrams was not.

I started out really liking this show. It has an interesting premise and a great ensemble cast. But the continuing endings of every relationship John Nolan has is starting to look like what I call "the Bonanza Syndrome " because no one on Bonanza ever had a successful relationship. And I did not like this season's cliffhanger ending as I just hate those kind of big frame up storylines. I don't know if it was supposed to be obvious who the real dirty cop is either but I knew he would turn out to be dirty as soon as we met him on the show.

I really enjoy this show. I especially like the father/daughter relationship between Jess and Tali and the Native American tone to some of the stories, as well as the fact that Native American actors play Native Americans for the most part. Clinton Skye (Nathaniel Arcand) is my favorite character with the rest of the cast all tied for second place There are also moments of amusing dialogue between the characters that shows a certain believable camaraderie. And I enjoy Jess Lacroix 's intuitiveness. I like FBI but I enjoy this show more. The characters are just more human.
