I watched Retribution (previously titled, One of Us) on Netflix, and it was very good. It is a great example of how one little mistake can snowball into a major disaster if you don't follow your instincts.
It is a short series, with only 4 episodes, but they are packed and don't contain a lot of fluff. While I thought I knew who the killer was, I couldn't be sure until the motive was revealed, which I must say, came out of left field, but made sense.
The story is set in Scotland and you will see lots of familiar faces. All the acting is great and there is a subtle, dark humor throughout watching people scramble to contain the fallout from one little slip up.
While there was some violence and blood, it was contained, at least by modern standards. There was some brief sex, but nothing too explicit, and it was the only part I thought added nothing to the plot as it could just as easily been implied. But sex sells, so I guess they had to throw it in.
Other than that one little gripe, I think the show was well worth watching even for those who normally shun sex, violence, and blood in the shows they watch. The plot is one of the better ones, I've seen lately, and the acting excellent. Altogether, it is a powerful series and just the right length for an evening's binge watching.
