CiCi “Sweet Ci” Bell

I enjoyed learning more about the inner workings of the Quintanilla family. The 1st season is comprised of 8-25 minute episodes so it's a quick binge. I think a lot of people are judging this series based on the movie and it is not meant to replicate the movie in any form. Even the casting of a half-Mexican actress is being scrutinized because she "doesn't look like Selena" but J.Lo was friggin' Puerto Rican, a completely different ethnicity! I think the actors and actresses have a lot of pressure to live up to fictional versions of real characters and that's unfair. It's set up for multiple seasons and I find it to be a nice mix of drama and subtle comedy. I would recommend watching for yourself before making judgments based on what other say. You may be pleasantly surprised.
