Let me start by stating - crazy, unrealistic action movies are not my favorite genre. With that declarative disclaimer, I must admit, some of the action sequences in the film are clearly amazing. The opening car chase is jaw dropping, as are most of the other numerous action portions of the film. The cast is very attractive and appealing as well. There are plenty of tongue and cheeky Ryan Reynolds lines. The story line is the problem with the film. The end just does not justify the means. 6 Underground is a story about non repentant vigilantism. It’s just plainly stupid ( although Michael Bey has never been known for his depth of story or characters ). If it’s pure entertainment, fantastic action, and violence you want, there is nothing better then this movie. If your taste is for a bit more realism and depth of story line and character, this film just might not be for you.
