I learnt two things from watching Conclave. 1. Exactly the process undertaken to elect a new Pope. 2. The Vatican could do with more lights. A truly engaging film, brilliantly acted with a masterful plot and a twist the like of which I haven’t seen since The Sixth Sense.

I didn’t like it at first, soon realised what was happening and stuck with it. So glad I did for an ending so perfect I had tears in my eyes. It’s so easy to be critical of this type of film, but the world would be a better place if films of this nature were more influential.
