Okay bear with me... I thought the actors did a phenomenal job at delivering their roles and the storyline. But this is no show for Black people to watch, some of these scenes were so heavy and traumatic to see and i have an understanding that there needs to be a display of the emotional trauma Black people experience to showcase the realities of living while Black but this show started with Black trauma and ended with Black trauma. When do we get to see a show that showcases BLACK JOY ?? At the end of the day there are people who took part in this project who are solely profiting off of Black trauma without actually offering anything to black communities (consumable media at the very least).
